IPL is a very simple, non-invasive light procedure that is done to rejuvenate the skin, and reverse the signs of aging.
IPL dramatically reduces- or even eliminates- sun spots, birthmarks, age spots, small visible veins, freckles, and enlarged pores, thus restoring even skin tones and a radiant complexion to the face, neck, hands, forearms, or chest. Rosacea responds surprisingly well to IPL treatment, with up to 80% to 90% improvement after a full series of treatments. Q:	How does it work?
A:	The intense pulsed light emits wavelengths that are absorbed by vascular and pigmented lesions in multiple levels of the skin. When the broad band light is absorbed by melanin (brown spots) and hemoglobin (veins/red spots), the lesions are gently heated and destroyed.

Q:	What areas can be treated?
A:	The Prolite II skin rejuvenation procedure can be performed on the face, neck, decolletage, & hands.

Q:	How long does the procedure take?
A:	It depends on the area being treated. It typically takes 25-30 minutes to treat the entire face. Make up may be applied following treatment.

Q:	Is it painful?
A:	You will experience a slight sensation as the pulses of therapeutic light are passed over your skin. The sensation is very mild and easily tolerated. Topical creams are not required but are available for individuals who wish to numb the skin.

Q:	How many treatments are required?
A:	A series of four treatments is required for optimum result. Each treatment takes less than one hour to perform. Treatments are scheduled once a month. Maintenance treatments are required every 6-12 months to maintain result.

Q:	What results can I expect?
A:	Visible signs of aging and sun damage will be significantly reduced. There is an overall improvement in skin texture and tone.

Q:	Are there any side effects?
A:	The vascular and pigmented lesions will be darker in appearance for 5-7 days. This procedure works well when followed with a microdermabrasion.
